Domestic Violence Prevention

Domestic Violence Prevention:

This program provides the DV offender the opportunity to explore the dynamics of domestic violence with the primary goal to end it. The Deluth and other models of treatment are used to accomplish this goal. Other goals include improving mood, anger management, cognitive thinking error reconstruction, increasing communication skills, establishing effective parenting habits, developing healthy relationships, and pattern skills for violence-free living. Personal accountability is emphasized throughout the program. Therapy groups are held separately for men and women. Specialized monitoring is optional.

Victim Assistance Services:

We constantly help victims of domestic violence and other crimes apply for Crime Victims Reparation and Medicaid. We also help them find housing and give Community referrals. This is a not-for-profit service.

Victim Issues Group:

The DV victim explores the dynamics of domestic violence in a safe environment. The group addresses victimology, cycle of violence, accountability, violence-free living, healthy relationships, communication skills, parenting, and overall well-being. It also assists participants in identifying the roles each plays in the cycle of violence.

Marriage Counseling & Parenting:

Communication, personality types, parenting style unification, disciplining, and financial planning are given to prevent many causes of domestic violence and family unhappiness. We use the acclaimed FAMILYHOOD parenting, LOVE & LOGIC, the COLORCODE and other excellent models for marital and family therapy. We also offer LDS counseling in harmony with LDS values.
